Teacher development is the fundament in improving the educational quality while the status of teachers affects teacher development. In recent years, the status of teachers in China have greatly improved, but because of the impact of some political, economic,traditional cultural and other factors, the status of different discipline teachers in middle school exists various differences not only in economic income, political status, but professional rights, occupational prestige. Reasonable difference is the external conditions to promote the progress of teachers, but unreasonable differences will result in the inequality of status between the teachers in different disciplines. The existence of these phenomena not only affect the construction of teaching staff, the stability of teaching staff, the inprovement overall teaching staff, the overall development of education and the impronement of educaional quality, but even the building of the harmonious society and the social equity. Conducting research on the problem of status differences of different discipline teachers in middle school will help to promote the status of teachers to rationalize differences, also help to construction of social equity, construction of harmonious society and comprehensive development of students.Firstly, define the meaning and the reseach value of the status differences of different discipline teachers in middle school, that is defining core concepts such as the status of teachers,the status differences of teachers, and interpret the social value about reseaching this topic, thereby grasp and understanding the study object overall.Secondly, according to the requirements in economic income, political status, professional rights and occupational prestige, develop the survey questionnaire and interview outline, through field surveys and interviews, come to the basic performance of the status differences of different discipline teachers in middle school, thereby understanding and grasp the status differences of different discipline teachers in middle school deeply.Thirdly, use the equity theory to fully analysise the rationality of the status differences in economic status,political status, professional rights of different discipline teachers. And on this basis, then identify the reasons of causing unreasonable differences, that is the reasons are mainly imperfection of education system and policy; unreasonable education financial investment and the low status of teachers in their own quality and other aspects.Finally, combining with the reason of the status unreasonable differences of different discipline teachers in middle school, explore the effective measures of rationalizing the status differences of different discipline teachers in middle school, that is through changing in social environment, reformation of the education system itself, teachers in their own efforts change the status quo of the status unreasonable differences of different discipline teachers in middle school.
