| Since 1999, along with China's development of higher education by leaps and bounds, higher vocational education in China has developed rapidly. With the expansion of the enrollment of higher education, higher vocational education also expands the scale rapidly. However, while developing higher vocational education, higher vocational education is also facing many problems. The development of higher vocational education in Hebei Province is similar to that in other parts of China. The students who are receiving higher vocational education in Hebei have occupied more than half of the students receiving higher education. But in general, the development is unbalanced, investment is inadequate. So analyzing the present situation of higher vocational education of Hebei Province, finding out the problems, research the appropriate measures are of great significance to the healthy and scientific development of higher vocational education in Hebei.This thesis briefly reviews the developing process of higher vocational education in China and the characteristics of higher vocational education of developed countries. The thesis summarizes the present situation development of higher vocational education in Hebei Province, pointing out the higher vocational education in Hebei Province has problems in school orientation, funding, quality of talents-training, the development of teachers, specialities and geographical distribution. Combining with the specific situation in our province and the inspiration of the development of higher vocational education in foreign countries, the thesis proposes the measures of higher vocational education development in our province:put forward clear thinking of the development, a multi-channels to raise funds for education system, to build a high level of "Double Type" teachers, and optimize the specialities, adjusting the curriculum system and make more efforts to increase employment of graduates and other countermeasures.
