Study On Supporting System For Teachers' Mental Health In Schools

As society is developing, teachers are bearing more and more stresses on daily life and work, and more and more teachers have psychological problems. These psychological problems in different levels directly influence teachers' work, life, and quality of school education and teaching. However, school supports to teachers' psychological health are still not perfect at all, and the effect is not good either. The author suggests construction of an effective and scientific supporting system for teachers' psychological health, so that it will not only ensure the teachers' psychological health, but also promote the qualities of school education and teaching. This will be a strong vigor for the sustainable development of school education.Through the collecting of documents, the author finds that management of teachers tends to emphasize on institutionalization or procedural operation, but relatively few researches for teachers' psychological health. Most of researches on teachers' health depend on psychological aspects, while this paper is researching on problems of teachers' psychological health from different views, i.e. management and development of atmosphere for organization. Thus, this research is additional to the theory for management of teachers.In theoretical research part, the author has quoted theories of teachers' pressure management models, health management pyramids, corporate employee assistance program and other related theories; and brought forward model illustration of teachers' psychological support system. In practice research part, the author has conducted some questionnaire surveys and interviews specific to W-grade schoolteachers, and detected problems of the school in teachers' psychological support work, and analyzed causes of the problems and came up with the recommendations for improvement.Through investigation, the author find out:The teachers' overall health level is not ideal, which exposes problems: The school has not paid enough attention to the teachers' psychological health, psychological support system is not completed, and teachers' psychological self-assistant system is weak and so on. Through analysis, the author thinks the causes of above problems mainly are as follows: The school managers have a wrong sense, shackled by their own psychological problems, which leads to the limitations of the psychological inquiry room function, and most of teachers' abilities have not been displayed, etc. Against the causes, the author has come up with solutions in adjusting sense error of managers, improving body psychological health level, expanding psychological inquiry room function and strengthening the teachers' roles of self-assistance and mutual-assistance; looking forward to promoting the perfection of school psychological support system and improving teachers' psychological health level.
