The Research On The Professionalization Construction Of The University Instructor

The document "on the strengthening of higher learning instructors' ranks opinion", issued by the Ministry of Education, points out that "It is vital to encourage and support a number of research-oriented instructor to attain a relevant degree and receive professional training, to be long-term engagement and to be profession-based, expert-based" These remarks put the issue of the professional counselors building, a systematic project on the agenda. This study, took the CPC Central Committee's files on strengthening and improving ideological and political education of college students' literature as a guide, employed the basic theory of ideological and political education and revolved around the career-based counselor team building so as to find a better professional counselor implementation approach.The thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter, in retrospect, tracked down the historical evolution of counselor system from start point to development in the past 50 years, which showed clearly the changing roles of the counselor in the evolution process, namely, from "part-time" to "part-time professionals and part-based", to "a full-time professionals and part-based". By summarizing the establishment of counselor system, valuable experience was achieved.The second chapter, first fully affirmed the remarkable initial achievements in instructor team building in the new century, while at the same time pointed out that a number of problems, which resulted from inadequate understanding, inappropriate policy implementation and imperfect management. Due attention should be given to these problems. To study the rooted reason, the most fundamental crux of the problem was "non-professional", without the team building of profession-based and expert-oriented instructors.The third chapter, based on the right understanding of the two items "profession" and "professional", put forward the basic connotation of professional counselors and gave a more in-depth explanation on the need for professional counselor team building and its building feasibility. The right choice and way-out should be the building of the professional instructor team.The fourth chapter, centered around in-depth reflection on the approaches and strategies in the team building, pointed out the right direction. Firstly, it is vital to establish a management system for the Communist Party and government of different levels to work together. Secondly, the environment for counselor's career development must be optimized. Thirdly, a security system to promote the formation of professional counselor team must be set up. The final part is a description of the management of college student affairs practice in the United States, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and other developed countries and regions, so as to provide a good reference for China's professional counselor team building.
