Research In The Establishment Of Instructor Ranks In Independent School

As a creative product of China’s higher education system, independent instituteshave developed dramatically with the participation of various social forces and havebecome an important new growth point in China’s higher education. Althoughindependent colleges have made remarkable progress in recent years, but there arestill huge gaps between public colleges and independent colleges. Independentcolleges also face many realistic problems in their developing process.With theincreasing scale of study programs, We should pay attention to the strengthening ofthe building of students’ counselor teams in independent colleges, solving completelythe unstable situations and undefined positioning of students’ counselor teams,dueattention should be paid to the building of student counselor team in independentinstitutes. A team of student counselor plays ever important practical roles inenhancing student service level.By using techniques in literature retrieving, comparing, analyzing, and by usingquestionnaires, telephone interviews and net chatting, this thesis examines the studentcounselors, concerning documents and materials in six independent institutes in Anhuiprovince. The thesis takes into consideration the merits and experience of studentcounselor team building in China’s higher education institutions at all levels and basesits conclusion on former research conclusions through wide data collection, absorbingand studying current academic results. The thesis makes an in-depth analysis on thestaffing, education level, stability, profession qualification of student counselors, italso analyses the problems in student counselor team building and provides in-depthreasons. The thesis further provides feasible countermeasures on strengtheningstudent counselor team building and student counselor self-construction from threeperspectives, in order to accelerate the development of student counselor teambuilding and the sustainable development of student work at independent colleges.
