Through the history of the reform of science education in the world, scientific history has played a more and more important role in science education and it has become the center of science education. The fundamental task of science education in the new century is to enhance the scientific literacy of the students where the education of scientific history takes advantage.Scientific history with the features of historicality, complexity and hierarchical dependence can be divided into the micro, middle and marco scientific history. The article mainly explains the information from different aspects and different levels undertook by scientific history and related educational functions. Scientific history bears the information during the process of science development which can be used to educate people on the nature of science. Scientific history bears the information during the process of science exploration which can be used to educate people on the scientific method. Scientific history bears the background information of scientific events which can be used to educate people on the relations of science and society. Scientific history bears the individual information of scientists which can be used to educate people on scientific spirit.Life science is linked with many aspects in human life and connects widely with other sciences. The objects of study of life science are diverse and complex and method of research is particular. So history of life science has special educational function. It is conducive to students to master the systematic method of biology when the education of biological history is fully and effectively conducted.The article made a survey to 76 biology teachers in senior high schools of Shanghai in questionnaire form to find out the status quo of the implementation of science education in biological curriculum. The status quo of integrating the biological history into scientific curriculum is not satisfactory. According to the existing problems, the article raised some suggestions on the teaching of biological history. First, the teachers' comprehensive quality on scientific history should be improved. Second, the all-round education of scientific history should be implemented. It includes the overall consideration of different functions of the education on scientific history as well as holistic design and individual perfection. Teachers should grasp important events in the history of science development and form the structure of teaching of scientific history. Teachers should grasp several essentials of scientific history and embody the features of its teaching. Teachers should take proper teaching methods according to senior high school students' traits of age.The analysis framework of science history is used to analyze the content of scientific history in biological textbook for senior high school. The article made an comprehensive investigation on whether the materials compiled is conducive to the all-round education on science history and raised some suggestions: First, proper materials should be selected on science history with distinct purposes; Second, the science history should be integrated to stand out the scientific goals of the education on science history; Third, the features of different school ages should be fully taken into consideration to improve the science quality of senior high school students.The education of science history has various purposes which belong to different levels. A process is needed to realize these purposes. The teaching content mainly includes scientific knowledge, scientific process and scientific spirit. The content of the education of science history has the structural features with the corresponding relations between the content and structure due to its hierarchical dependence. In addition, the education of science history should also pay attention to coordination and division which includes the division of different learning periods and subjects.
