Philosophical Thinking About Leisure Based On Comprehensive Development Of The People

Leisure is a way of life, a relatively free state of living under the pressures from the outside world. It has been taken into account since ancient Greece, and it is an old life ideal and the spiritual home of mankind. Leisure develops with the development of social and historical advancement. When it comes to the era of industrial capitalism, a high degree of development of productive forces, the growth of material wealth becomes a goal of the development of society; people pay too much attention to the material, resulting in leisure alienation. Comprehensive development of the people is the highest aim and ideal of the mankind. Leisure is an important content of the comprehensive development of people and way of achieving it.Based on the position of historical materialism; using methods in philosophy and sociology, a range of issues related to leisure are discussed in my article. My article begins by describing the meanings, the types, characteristics and historical evolution of leisure. Then the leisure alienation is analyzed. Its meaning, its performance and hazards are discussed; and in the fourth part the relationships between comprehensive development of people and leisure are discussed. Finally, based on the reality of our country, analyze our country's leisure situation; find the ways to promote China's leisure level.
