The Research Of American Primary School Health Educational Material

New Curriculum Reform in elementary education has been carried out and been putting into effect. The development of Health Education has improved than before. People put their attention into the education of sports, but now they put the Health Education into Sports to improve the students'health. Faced with many difficulties in this process, we need to make much more process to be better, for example: about curriculum or the time of the lesson and so on.In my thesis, I begin my reaserch with taking the American primary school Health Educational material as an example and focus on the volumes No.3-5.Health and Wellness is published by Company of Macmillanl/Mc Graw-Hill, the books are for the students from Kindergarten to Grade6.The structure of the thesis is as followings:Part 1: Introduce the cause, background, scope, structure and methodology of this research.Part 2: Explain the standard of"Health and Wellness"curriculum of America. Mainly research the features, contents of curriculum from States of America: Hawaii and Califonia.Part 3: Research of the structure of Health and Wellness. Including its units, texts and so on.Part4: On the base of research of the contents of Health and Wellness, Describe the features of this book and make some valuable suggestions for the development of primary health education in China.
