The coaches is one of the center of the training, and always catch attention. The coaches of track and field play an irreplaceable role in the development of the track and field, and their teaching behavior have an important role on the level of track and field. The teaching behavior of trcak and field coaches has many characteristics, including complex contents,vivid and rich personality and externalization of behavior characteristics. In this paper, we will study the teaching behavior of China's high-level track and field coaches which includes the behavior of ideological education, daily management practice,and instruction of training and competiton, to explore the experience and behavior patterns of track and field coaches combined with the use of literature, expert interviews, questionnaire method as well as mathematical statistics.1. The teaching behavior of track and field coaches is a kind of conscious social behavior at work, training or conpetition, which will achieve training objectives, not a kind of behavior in their life or non-work. Its structure includes the behavior of ideological education, daily management practice, and instruction of training and competiton.2. The high-level track and field coaches teach the athletes by the way of encouragement, instructure, demonstration and setting a good example to educate the athletes ideology, and the methods of teaching receive the recognization of athletes.3. The high-level track and field coaches pay more attention to the athlete's health status, lifestyle and diet in management of the basic life, less attention to the overall planning of athletes occupational career. And in the spiritual management, the coaches concern more about the cultural life and interpersonal relationships. They deal with the conflict between athletes mainly through persuasion, education, conversation and so on. 4. The high-level track and field coaches make plans on the base of the situation of athletes, training goals and competitive schedule. And most of the plans are in one stageor one week. The coaches can enforce the training plan strictl,.However, the attention paid to the ahtletes by the coaches can not meet the needs of the athletes.5. The coaches have a positive attitude towards the recovery methods of after-training, most of them depends on their experience, jogging body stretch, massage and other more traditional methods.6. High-level track and field coaches encourage the athletes through the meeting, identify goals and so on. During the competition, the coaches guide the athletes through language and physical movement. After games, the coaches analyze the training program of the entire cycle, as well as the competition process and result.
