Soccer culture as a kind of mass culture developments and changes in the mass media. Britain, as the birthplace of soccer, its soccer culture change and communication, with typical and exemplary role. As technology advances, the mass media itself is undergoing tremendous change, such changes to the game itself has also brought great changes, can be said that the development process of modern football culture, mass media, exhibits, soccer sports interactive, and eventually melt in order to indivisible "the medium of soccer, " the survival of the status quo, in turn reflects the modern sport, the stage of human evolution of mass society.I use as a mass culture of British soccer as the research object, use of literature and data and historical comparisons, In the possession of a large number of soccer development in the history of the British and the British media coverage of soccer on the basis of the history, According to media influence model of technology on culture theory, this study according to different media technology application in the UK and development of modern British soccer history on the stage of history, namely, pre-press period, newspapers period, television and multimedia period. This study is based American scholar, William Joseph Baker's point of view will be the main elements of football boils down to, players, fans, organizers of football, football sport sponsors and the mass media. Therefore this research through the mass media in the players, fans, soccer sports organizers and sponsors of soccer in the description and interpretation of cultural development and change soccer can understand the big picture, and lessons are drawn out of British soccer culture and the culture of the type generally experienced:(1)During the pre-newspapers period, the British soccer culture is a kind of elite and leisure culture. (2)During the newspaper period, the British soccer culture is the social sub-culture of working class.(3)During the TV period, Modern British football culture, reflect the elite culture and commercial culture of confrontation with the social sub-culture to the community move closer to the mainstream culture.(4) During multimedia period, British soccer culture is a kind of mainstream culture, business culture and media culture.
