It's a common sense that plays as one of the important life style of the children has been proved charming. The life of children without game is incomplete and not wonderful. Plays benefits the children in many aspects such as physiology,psychology,intelligence and morality, the children won't be happy unless we ensure their rights of plays. Since the theory "lively education" put forward and practiced by Tao Xing Zhi and Chen He Qin, plays as a teaching method introduced in real class is common. English as a second language to those pupils who are full of curiosity is new and unfamiliar, teaching in plays is a typical and important way adopted by the English teacher in primary school. Plays make the students relax and involved in English surroundings, learning joyful and easy. However, teaching in plays is not a mature method but developing, there are still many problems unsolved, For instance, game designing and mastering.The thesis based on the theory as follow:Homo Ludens of Huizinga,Joyful Education Second Language Acquisition and Constructivism, discuss the significance of plays in English teaching; analyze the problems exists in the teaching; pose the strategies. The thesis uses several kinds of methods such as visit and talk, case study. It has three sections: The introduction discusses concentrates the significance of teaching in plays, which promote the development of the students both of physiology and psychology; stimulate their interest of study; make the relationship between teacher and student harmonious; improve the quality of English. The first section distinguishes the related concept of game, states the opinions from ancient and nowadays, from abroad and domestic. The second section reveals the problems exists in real class, including improper aim position, lack of creativity, too idealism, complex rules and the student's participation are not enough, Then analyzes the reasons of these problems. The third section poses the strategies in detail and propose that the spirit of game should be run through the whole education, and the education will be full of fun and lively.
