Study On The Coordinate Degree Of China's Higher Education

In the trend of knowledge economic period, whether the higher education is corresponded or not, not only influences the healthy development of higher education oneself directly but also make an important role in the whole development of district economy and the whole country. So, it is a much-needed problem how to promote the coordinated development of the higher education. Against the problem, on the basis of the years of developmental data of China's higher education, this article has done a quantitative analysis on the coordinated development of the higher education, using the comprehensive coordination degree model and the distance coordination degree model, to seek the path promoting coordinated development of the higher education.This text analyzes the higher education and economic present condition of our country first, make uses of the comprehensive coordination degree model and the distance coordination degree model of other industries, carries on calculating analysis towards regional coordinate degree and inter-regional coordinate degree of higher education respectively.The result of regional coordinate degree analysis is that the regional coordinate degree is very low. The coordinated growth of the eastern region is relative better and the optimized speed of the eastern region is relative better also. The coordinated growth of the central region is unsteady and the optimized speed of the central region is not high. The coordinated growth of the western region is not high and the gap with the eastern region is too great, but the optimized speed is relative better and takes on up-trend. The result of inter-regional coordinate degree analysis is that most of the university and college of china is in the big city, in the one-class city and two-class city; the inter-regional coordinated growth is almost stagnation and the whole coordination degree is placed in low-down level, tending near 0. The coordinated growth of the east-west region and the center-west region are both not better. The regional coordinated degree and the inter-regional coordinated degree are both not better and need exaltation. Then analyzes the influencing factor of the regional coordinated degree and the inter-regional coordinated degree and put forward a series of countermeasures from the regional and the inter-regional angle on the basis of the analysis. The regional countermeasures are that economic development in district should be promoted; the higher education policy should be adjusted and the decision-making powers of colleges and universities should be expanded; all colleges and universities should base on the region and the school's actual situtation, improve the core competitiveness of colleges and universities etc. The inter-regional countermeasures are that particular funds should be established to help the central and western region establish and develop regional colleges so that the distributing of our college and university is reasonable and balance;the investment tilt of higher education towards the central and western region should be enlarged; the government of the central and western region should seize the chance of localization of higher education, national large-scale development of western and central parts of the rise of the strategic to develop local colleges and tap the potential of local colleges and universities in this region fully, to establish the system which attract talented people to join the construction of the western region, to accelerate regional economic development, trying hard changing the present status quo of non-equilibrium of higher education and so on.
