A Study On University Students' Religious Beliefs In Xinjiang

Religion is a particular cultural phenomenon in human cultural history. All religions contain beliefs; beliefs are one of the main functions of religion. The main body of religious believers is the religious followers. But in recent years, there is a "warming" trend in colleges and universities across the country which is a severe challenge in Marxist ideals education in university.Study on university students'religious belief in Xinjiang areas, which is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and frontier areas, has not only theoretical significance, but also of great political significance. This paper relies on the platform of ideological and political education autonomous scientific research project:"Faith of University Students in Xinjiang". This paper bases on questionnaire form Xinjiang University, Xinjiang Normal University, Yili Normal University (Kuitun campus), Kashgar Teachers college and status of Xinjiang religious students as an entry point for the analysis. To complete religious university students in Xinjiang the problem of faith, this paper extracts data from real society, sublimates from the point of view.Paper is divided into three parts, front, body, and conclusion. The front section introduces the origin, review, the theoretical basis, methods of research ideas and innovation. The body is divided into four parts:the first part introduces the Marxist theory of religious freedom and China's current policy on religion. The second part analyses the religious status of the university students in Xinjiang, describes the five university students' religious institutions and analyzes the problems of current university students in Xinjiang' which cannot be neglected. The third part explains the cause of religious belief of the university students in Xinjiang. By analyzing the causes of religious college students, this paper concludes that the personal, social, environmental factors cause the problem. The fourth part deduces that what is the correct path for Xinjiang college students. Through the previous analysis, this paper indicates that we should strengthen students' correct religion education, and erect a correct life belief for college students. In conclusion part, the paper analyses the prospect of weakening college students'religious belief in Xinjiang area and points out that belief education is the essential requirement for constructing socialist harmonious campus.
