On the premise of building a well-off society in an all-round way, beginning a new prospects for socialism cause with chinese characteristics and realizing the long-term peace and stability, constructing the socialism harmonious society is a vital task for the Communist Party of China to fulfill Scientific outlook on development,in which advancing the harmonious ethnic relationship is the important contents. China is a country of 55 ethnic minorities with the population of 100 million. With the rapid development of high education, more and more ethnic minorities students become college students. The autonomous areas in China have established 92 colleges and universities with over 200,000 college students, and more than 210,000 college students are studying in other colleges and universities in other colleges and universities in mainland. These minorities college students are the outstanding talents in minorities as well as the precious human resources for China who shoulder the especial responsibility of developing the society, ecomony and culture, promoting the stablility in borderland and ethinic union. Cultivating them up to builders and successors loving the country, the minorities, the homeland, serving the country and people, is of the very meaning of propagating the ethinic culture, consilidating the ethinic union, safeguarding the country integratinon and social stability as well as advancing socialist spiritual civilization. It is the basic task to complete the No.16 document by the Central Committee of the CPC, constructe the socialism harmonious society, and it is the obligatory responsibility and mission for every ideological and political educators.China is the country with five global religions and Islamism imposes the biggest impact on ethnic minorities in Northwest China. Religions and nationalities have the close ties. There are not either religions without nationalities or nationalities without religions. Regligions play the important role in forming, integrating and developing many nationalities and religious influence has integrated into every aspect ,such as culture, arts and daily life. As the ideology, religon is the superstructure which infulences ethnic politics, economy and culture and ethnic relationship and contradiction.Exposed to the adverse influence from the international terrorists, the"Three Forces"(namely terrorists, separatists and extremists) in Xinjiang, as well as the international islamism orgalinzations, the ideological and political education on minorities college students from Xinjiang has not gained the satisfactory outcome. How to improve ideological and political education on minorities college students, strengthen their cognition and interest in ideological and political education and enhance their recognition of the social mainstream values have become the urgent issue to solve for ideological and political education on minorities college students.By means of questionnaires, sampling survey, statistical analysis and theoretical exploration,the thesis has underdone the in-depth investigation on many facets,such as religious belief of minorities college students from Xinjiang and their cognition, their religious activities, the channels to obtain religious knowledge, the understanding and valuation towards religious policies and religion, religious manners and behaviors, the religious issues, the differences between religion and non-religion and the social influence by their religious values. Then it draws the conclusion of especial features of religious belief of minorities college students from Xinjiang. The thesis expounds the necessity and importance to strengthen ideological and political education and points out some problems of their religious values through documentary study and methodology. Based on the problems, the thesis advances some practical solutions to help them in study, life and work, instruct them treat national traditional religious culture correctly, form Marxism nationality religious values and caltivate them up to successors for the grand undertaking of socialist construction. The achievements is the valuable reference for ideological and political educators in high schools.
