Since 19th Century productive forces had developed, most of the people lived better life, part of people's poverty had been as social problem; 20 th Century, when people had eliminate absolute poverty gradually, relative poverty became social focus; 21 th Century is a age of concerning humanities, relative poverty increasingly affects the development of individual, so researching relative poverty become more and more important.Usually, relative poverty means the life condition of below social average. This concept is based on comparison between groups. Because this paper focus on individual development, relative poverty is defined as condition that people can't attain one's prospective goal, that is to say people encounter trouble in the course of development. This concept also decide that relative poverty bear dynamic and absolute.It is one of features in this paper that relative poverty is associated with development stage of individual. In sociology, individual development linked with socialization, which is a procedure, accordingly relative poverty is a result. So socialization and relative poverty are interconnected. Now that the conditions of socialization are different, socialization endings are different, which will effect social adaptation of individual and their development. In regard to this, this paper aims at researching relative poverty in the shadow of socialization pattern, which is binary in China, including urban socialization pattern and rural socialization pattern. On this basis, this paper pays further attention to the reason and effect of relative poverty.Chapter One is leading part aiming at expounding the backgrounds and significance of research. Under the guidance of relative poverty theory, this paper sums poverty theory firstly, flowering socialization theory. Because demonstration is one of characteristics of sociology, in this part core conceptions, selected stylebook and investigate method are introduced.Chapter Two mostly analyzes country socialization model in Taiyuan, which is also at the age of turning. The inhabitants of Taiyuan are influenced by turning effect. It involves tradition and modern factor. All these decide the style of country socialization model, bringing exceptive socialization results. At one time, these endings constructs the country social system.Chapter Three mostly analyzes city socialization model in Taiyuan. City is the foreland of modernization, so the inhabitants of city are the first embracer and disseminator. In the process of socializing, they definitely treat socialization of themselves and their children. City socialization model is rational. In this model feasible capability of individual are respected and exerted fully, upon that constructing a kind of rational social system.Chapter Four is emphases of this paper. Socialization ending due to socialization model, so this part resolves the otherness of socialization ending on the ground of Chapter Two and Chapter Three. Relative poverty and relative deficiency are educed in this part. In the last this paper discuses the restriction effect for individual development and try to clear up this function.In conclusion, this paper is established in analyzing relative poverty. The process of socialization exist the otherness between "fact socialization" and "ideal socialization", which can arose contusion in individual minds. It is timely researching socialization ending in 21th Century.
