The Moral Character Construction Of College Students Under The Social Vicissitude Condition

Various aspects of Chinese society have undergone tremendous changes since the reform and opening-up policy has been implemented. The great change in economic, political and cultural spheres will inevitably cause turbulent morality. The moral character construction is a newly proposed topic that is based on the moral status of people in the process of social vicissitude and the needs of the socialist moral construction. In the past, civic morality construction only included social morality, professional ethics and family virtues and ignores the fundamental role of the moral character, so'Three Virtues'construction became castles in the air. The moral decline of college students in the current is largely because of the moral character construction has not kept up. This paper analyzes the significance of moral character construction under the social vicissitude condition, briefly describes the feature of college students'moral character and mainly researches the ideas of the moral character construction of college students, expecting to improve the theoretical system of the moral character construction and provide some useful reference to moral character education practice of college students at present.This first part of the paper is mainly to introduce the content and significance of the moral character construction of college students.First, the concept of moral character is defined, the four elements of moral character which include'knowledge, emotion, will and behavior'and its process of formation and development are introduced, moral character is compared with the related concepts. Then elaborate the content of the moral character construction of college students, point out the difference between the moral character construction of college students and the moral character education of college students, and describe the feature of the moral character education of college students which including systematization, practicality and persistence, point out the significance of the moral character construction of college students.In the second part of the paper, at first, the character belonged to the moral character of college students is summarized in the following:values become diverse, pragmatic utilitarian tendency, strong self-awareness and so on. After that, reveal the current moral problems of college students, such as the lack of credibility, extravagance and waste, the fall of sexual morality, selfishness.In the third part, analyze the reasons of the moral problems of college students. Social vicissitude have not only broken the existing moral system and led the moral status of society to a whole chaotic situation, but also had a negative effect on moral character of college students. First, define the meaning of social vicissitude, describe the social vicissitude in the economic, political, social, ideological and cultural fields. Then elaborate on that university moral education can not keep up with the times, family education and the external environment has also changed significantly in the process of social vicissitude, which are the reasons for moral problems of college students.In the fourth part, research the methods to strengthen the moral character construction of college students at present. In this paper, school, family, social and personal dimensions are taken into account. At the school, we need to change the concept of moral education, update the content of moral education and enrich the moral education methods;in the family, we need to change the concept that intelligence education is more important than moral education and use scientific moral education methods;in the social, we need to strengthen the system construction, lead social trends with advanced culture;on a personal, we should pay attention to foster good moral characters, such as sense of shame, self-reflection and cautiousness.
