This research is mainly aims at providing some practical strategies which base on wide researches both on theoretical levels and on practical levels for junior middle school English teachers to better motivate their students. And using these strategies, teachers can help their students to form a long-lasting motivation to learn English and the ability to use the language well.This essay used various research methodologies such as literature method, interviews and questionnaires which all well supported the empirical study. And through the analysis of questionnaires, some strategies better used by teachers are made clear while some not so frequently used strategies such as group study, intriguing students' interests and classroom democracy should be emphasized during daily teaching activities.To better motivate students in English classrooms, teachers should use various strategies flexibly and properly. Linguists Zoltan Dornyei provided us a framework for motivate foreign language learners and it includes a process oriented approach. According to Dornyei's theory, teachers should continuously motivate students and maintain this motivation. Teachers should also help students to familiar with foreign culture and increase their cultural experience. From the learner's level, teachers should give students the opportunities to choose their own way to study and protect their confidence. And from learning situation level, teachers should improve their own ability and provide students with classes which will meet their real needs and form a learning community. In all, teachers should pay close attention to students'psychological needs and make the classroom a harmonious learning community.
