Research On The State Of Existence Of Unemployed Graduates Based On The Theory Of "Field-Habitus"

Unemployed graduates have become a large scale of social group.They are regarded as a depressed group and a heavy burden of society by a part of people at present. It is undoubtedly that the features and benefits of unemployed graduates are ignored. Thus, the study, which starts from the state of existence, describes a basic portrait of subsistence of this group by employing questionnaire to investigate 2129 unemployed graduates in Shanghai, interviewing 46 persons related and being based on combining quantitative research method and qualitative research method. Contrasting the result of investigation with five common stereotypes, the study reveals the real feature of the group of unemployed graduates deeply. On the basis of understanding the state of existence of unemployed graduates completely, this study uses the famous theory of Habitus, Field and Capital, by Pierre Bourdieu, sociologist, to analyze the state of existence of unemployed graduates. At last, some related countermeasures and proposals are proposed, and the potential and the value of human resources of unemployed graduates are discovered.
