Social transformation needs school changes. It is a very complicated process. On the one hand, it is the necessary requirement of the conflict of social problem and School's internal problems,on the other hand, it is involved in all kinds of interests and all these factors affect the process.Nowadays, How should a principal lead school changes? How school changes can be developed from its own problems?In the preface of the paper, the question is proposed according to the social background and the school change realities. And the related concepts are definited and the research methods are to be proved.School X taken for an example, conclusion is drawn that the school reform which does not meet the needs of the students will result in all kinds of problem of the students, the school reform which can not mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers will lead to the failure, thus the school reform would become the burden of the school and the teachers. Proceeding from the contemporary school problems,I try to find the internal rationality of the school reform:premoting individual students'construction of subjectivity should be the main basis of the school change objectives;in the leadership, the liberation of teachers should be concerned closely. In the lead content, meeting all the students'development needs should be the most factor we concern.In the second part of the paper, two schools are compared in their school reform, and the rationality of the internal basis is proved in their practice. On the basis, we summarized school transformation as the general characteristics in the school changes and the essence of the school changes is inherent unity of task-accomplished orientation and the man-developed orientation.In the third part of the paper, how to realize the school changes according to the internal rationality is elaborated, taken well-known schools as example. In the conclusion part, the principal is hoped to liberate himself during the students'development and the libration of the teachers.
