On The Study Of The Academic Commercial Education Of Guangdong From 1924 To 1937

This thesis mainly makes Department of Economics and Department of Business of Sun Yat-sen National university as a case history, comparing with Faculty of Business and Department of Political Economics of Private National University of Guangdong Province, Department of Economics of Private University of Guangzhou City, Faculty of Business of Private University of Lingnan, Business School of Xianqin University of Guangdong Province. The studies in this thesis analyze the Academic Commercial Education of Guangdong in 1920s-1930s, and significantly find that there are interactive relationship between academic commercial education and politics,economics and society.The academic commercial education of Guangdong shares an inseparable relationship with politics. In 1923, Sun Yat-sen seted up Generalissimo government in Guangzhou City, developed the KMT-CPC cooperation, and panned the Northern Expedition, to counter Beijing central government. Under the direction of Sun Yat-sen, the KMT set up "National Guangdong University" by integrating educational resources of Guangdong in the name of "National". By studying the teachers in Department of Economics and Department of Business of National Guangdong University, it finds that many teachers are members of KMT, and were born in Guangdong, which show that"National Guangdong University" is not really national but is for party in fact. Its Department of Economics and Department of Business are vulnerable to the changes of the Local Political situation. Especially after the death of Sun Yat-sen in 1925, many teachers in Department of Economics and Department of Business went away, some of whom set up Faculty of Business of Private National University of Guangdong Province, Department of Economics of Private University of Guangzhou City. These three university adding to Faculty of Business of Private University of Lingnan have formed the distribution of the Academic Commercial Education of Guangdong. In 1934, Chen Jitang carried out Three-Year Plan in Guangdong. He quickly set up Business School of Xianqin University of Guangdong Province by the force of Guangdong government. In summary, the political power of Guangdong play a vital role in affecting the Academic Commercial Education of Guangdong.The interaction between the Academic Commercial Education of Guangdong and local economy lies in when the academic commercial education is in the pursuit of localization process, it gradually pays attention to investigate the actual situation of Chinese economy Economic Research Department of Sun Yat-sen National university does a series of investigations on Guangdong pawn, banking, accounting, and living conditions of working families. These survey datas are published. Economic Research Department really does a great job. In addition, the teachers of the Academic Commercial Education are gradually active in Chines economic issues, and give positive suggestions. The academic commercial education unconsciously affect Chines economic development in its localization process.
