A Study On Ideological And Political Education In Higher Schools Under The Background Of Globalization

Globalization has become one objective trend of world development. In terms of ideological and political education in higher schools, globalization is both opportunities and challenges. In the face of new situation,it is a major issue for all the ideological and political education workers to strengthen and improve ideological and political education in higher schools to meet the needs of the time. The article analyzes systematically globalization's influences on ideological and political education in universities and colleges first. And then, the necessities of strengthening and improving the ideological and political education are put forward. On the basis of this,the innovation strategies are discussed in detail. Paper is divided into four parts.Part one is introduction about the purpose of the study, the review of research on thesis of the global and ideological and political education, research method and new innovations.Part two is about the influences of globalization on ideological and political education in higher schools. This part introduces the concept and history, the characteristics and essence of globalization, and the opportunities and challenges on the ideological and political education in higher schools. On the one hand, globalization has contributed to emancipate our minds, enrich the content of ideological and political education, expand the time and space of ideological and political education, and promote the modern ways and means of ideological and political work. On the other hand, globalization has brought great challenges on college students'values, ideals and beliefs and traditional teaching mode.Part three is about the necessities on strengthening and improving of ideological and political education in universities and colleges. Under the background of globalization, it is an objective requires of consolidating the guiding position of the socialist ideology, firming ideal faith of college students, building a harmonious society, promoting the comprehensive development of college students and the development of network.Part four is about the specific innovations on ideological and political education. The innovations are divided into four aspects. Ideological and political education has to be innovative to conform to the objective requirements of the times. Firstly, strengthen the theory research. Absorb nutrients from the ancient Chinese theory of political education, our party and the classical theory abroad. Secondly, optimize the content of ideological and political education. Pay attention to the convergence of each section and the supplement of specific contents. Thirdly, advance the carrier channel of ideological and political education in five levels, ideological and political theory, campus culture, social practice, family, college and social environment and mass media. Fourthly, explore the ways and means of ideological and political education. This part is the key point and also the innovative part of the study.
