With higher education popularized nationwide, more and more college students choose to complete their study while taking part-time jobs. These groups of students take part-time jobs both in and out of school for payment while taking courses at the same time. However, the constant changing roles between students and workers have aroused great concerns on the contradiction between study and work. What the effects of part-time jobs are on students'studies and how the college students balance the time and energy between study and work are calling for a persuasive solution.A sampled questionnaire survey was made on 350 college students, with learning adaptability scale used to analyze. And a group of 9 students were interviewed in the way of semi-structured interviews. Through the analysis of the data collected both from questionnaire and interviews, the following conclusions were drawn: Firstly, the advantages of"working while studying"relatively outweigh the disadvantages. Secondly, compared with those not working while studying, those working while studying achieve lower GPAs but without outstanding discrepancy. Thirdly, from the point of view of motivation, teaching mode, learning ability, attitude and circumstance, except that on the learning ability scale, those who not working while studying achieve higher points and reach the marginal outstanding level. Among the other scales and the overall scale, only on the circumstance scale, those who not working while studying reach the outstanding level. Fourthly, the studies show"working while studying"doesn't have negative influence on university students'studies but benefits them a lot, especially in terms of promoting study and comprehensive quality.According to the conclusions, relative literatures, as well as survey analysis, suggestions could be made as follows. Firstly, provide students with practical opportunities of"moot society"on campus, such as book bank, and bicycle rent, and guide them to accumulate experiences in the process. In that way, combine work-study and work practice, and help students properly allocate time for studies and work. Secondly, relative university departments should pay more attention to the impoverished students, help them deal with the problem and establish a proper outlook on the world and value. Thirdly, college students are supposed to pay more attention to cultivate their ability of learning, especially of thinking, observing, and imagining. Besides, students are suggested to establish and perfect flexible studying plans, practice frequently, improve the ability of research, and problem-solving in practice. Fourthly, look upon the phenomena of"over-utilitarianism"and"small rich group"appropriately. Students should get along well with their dorm mates, keep a proper distance to the opposite gender and optimize their online relationships. They need to interact with teachers, classmates, parents and other social members properly. Thus a harmony circumstance would be established.
