With the development of community economic and the constant improvement of the level of living in our country, with the《National Physical Fitness Program》issued and implemented, Physical Fitness has become a trend. Under the influence of social fitness environment, the traditional broadcast exercises can no longer meet the rising health standards and living demands. Aerobics has occupied the market for its unique charm, and has been the first choice for fitness, attracting more and more people for fitness. Fitness clubs, with its space, equipment, environment, atmosphere, instructors and other conditions, become the primary venue for fitness. With the spring up and expansion of fitness clubs, aerobics instructors with self motivated and coaching skills have been an everlasting theme of the survival and development for fitness clubs. Then, aerobics instructor team development must be guided with the correct directions, scientific orientation, rational planning, scientific layout plans.With such an immense population base and a staggering percentage of aging, Henan Province has a large number people who need physical fitness. The fitness exercises will directly affect the improvement of physical quality. Without the limitations of venue, equipment, facilities, aerobics exercise is suit for most people. However, the training methods require professional instructor to guide, strengthen and development of a number of aerobics instructors is both inevitable and necessary. In theoretical aspect, there is seldom research on the aerobics instructor team development of Henan Province. In this paper, we give the State of Art on development of aerobics instructor, discover some problems and propose countermeasures deeply, which gives theory basis for the sustainable development of aerobics instructor. It can effectively improve the growing ranks of the professional quality of the instructors and their potential.Our research based on 30 health clubs with independent legal entity and high, medium and low grades, including aerobics instructors in the city of Zhengzhou, Luoyang and Kaifeng. Using literature method, questionnaire, observation and statistics, our study is focus on the following aspects: the basic profiles of aerobics instructor, guiding situation, perception of self instruction and reasons of restricts its development. We give the conclusions as follows:1. The number of aerobics instructor of Henan province is too few in general, and lacking effective demand. There is a great deal of friction between the increasing health demands and the insufficient number of aerobics instructor. Instructors are mainly young. There are few senior and full-time instructors. Middle-aged instructors lack proportion, the number of part-time instructor is too few to keep the stability of instructor team, which directly affects the development of aerobics.2. In Henan Province, the main sources of Aerobics instructor are physical and aesthetic person and retired athletes. They have good theory and technology basis for guidance in fitness, and have been the effective origin of Aerobics instructor. Meanwhile, aerobics amateur are the potentially source for instructor team construction. Their remuneration are mainly in 2001-3000 Chinese dollar, about 12-80 RMB per hour. Most of them are unsatisfied with their payment. They generally prefer their job, and take the view that communication with their trainees is very important, which will effectively promote the launching of aerobics.3. Aerobics instructors in Henan Province have less national certificates, while they have a high proportion of other forms of certification. The most popular items are general aerobics, Latin aerobics and yoga for aerobics items. However, most of instructors can only guide one or two items. This can not meet the demands of fitness consumers. Their service time is short and most is less than a year. So they have less guide experience and weak capacity for training. They give training classes about 3-4 times per week, and mainly at noon, afternoon and evening. The number of each class is about 21-40. Most of instructors feel satisfaction at their jobs. However, customers hold disfavor view to their instructor.4. Aerobics instructor in Henan Province are most take the view that having the most noble professional ethics, a good professional image, a solid professional theoretical knowledge, strong professional competence, excellent professional technique and other basic professional quality is very important. They give deep understanding of guide capacity of their own. The number of re-learning is only two times, then the frequency of re-learning is not high, the updating of knowledge is slow. But they have more demanding on the quality of training, and they could learn through multiple channels.5. Henan province has not yet established the specialized fitness and entertainment system management organization. The management of aerobics instructor is far away from the criterion. The training funding is shortage, and the training system is not perfect. The reasons that restrict the development of aerobics instructor are mainly that the East-West cultural differences, slowly development of health club, weakness of government macro-control, poor of overall quality of instructors, prejudice against sports-men, the traditional concept of employment, the confusion of health club development and lack enthusiastic of instructor practitioners.
