Since the 1990's, Chinese education has been developing rapidly with the deepening of reformation. With the national colleges'large-scaling enrollment, the high school has become very popular. This kind of atmosphere has great impaction on the quantity and quality of secondary vocational students: the number of students has drastically reduced and the quality of students has become very poor. As these problems arise, teachers of vocational education have adopted corresponding teaching methods, such as hierarchical teaching methods, guiding students to cooperative learning and so on.In recent years, with the reformation of vocational education's admissions policies, former high school graduates, ex-servicemen, migrant workers and other groups have become the source of vocational education. Because these students'knowledge is poor generally, the gap between the excellent and the poor is even more obvious. The past simple hierarchical teaching methods and cooperative learning become unable to suit the new situation. This paper, integrating several teaching methods, forms an appropriate new teaching model for the current students'new features.This paper overviews cooperative learning and hierarchical teaching, analyzes the deficiencies of these two teaching methods applied on vocational education application, and then starts to research the integration of the two teaching methods. This article mainly describes how to stratify students in science way, how to grouping them properly based on stratifications, and focuses on the practical operation and experimental research on the hierarchical and grouping teaching model. Practice has proved that the use of hierarchical and grouping teaching model stratifies the current situation of vocational education students. This model also could take the individual differences of students sufficiently and make full use of individual differences to promote students'learning. This teaching model not only focuses on imparting knowledge to students, but also pays full attention to the students'cognitive experiences, so it inspires the student'enthusiasm and interest in learning mathematics, narrows the gap between the excellent and the poor students effectively, reduces the rate of poor students, improves the overall pass rate and students'grades, and particularly achieves remarkable results on the improvement of students falling behind. As promoting the overall improvement in mathematics, it also cultivates the students'ability to cooperate and self-learn, promote the development of non-intelligence factors and forms a beneficial cycle for vocational education students to study math and learn math well. It lays a good mathematical foundation for students to have professional studies and creates a good condition for students'further learning.
