With the development of network technology and the emergence of the concept of lifelong learning, informal learning has become an important way of learning in college. Colleges have an excellent, rich hardware and software technology and resources, students of available psychological, learning skills and information literacy are made the informal learning that based on social software is possible. Review of past studies can be found that most research on informal learning remain at the theoretical level, from the empirical point of view of college students'informal learning that based on social software are rarely in China. Therefore, based on the theories derived from past researches about constructivist learning theory, humanistic theory, lifelong learning theory and referencing large amount literatures and the adequate analysis and induction, this paper analyzes the current situation of college students' learning, taking into account of the college students' personality, motivation and knowledge management level, etc. According to the existing problems, we put forward the strategy for college students' informal learning, and try to make an informal learning model for college students to provide some guidance. The structure of the article as follows:Part I: Introduction Part. The first part introduces the research background, situation, the purpose and significance of the study as well as the research methods and ideas.Part II: This part discusses the concepts, features and theoretical basis of social software and informal learning, and on this basis to explore the meaning of informal learning.Part III: Current research Part. First introduced the design of study, and then the questionnaire reliability and validity can be tested, on this basis, processing and analysis of the questionnaire which is divided into four levels, finally sub-group analysis of the samples according to sex, grade, professional and school type, tries to find out the problems that the college students use social software to informal learning faced with now.Part IV: Mainly aims at the question which in the college students'informal learning process exists, puts forward the strategies that promotes the college students'informal learning under the social software environment. Meanwhile, presents two kinds of informal learning model, namely "Mblog + Wiki" informal learning mode and the QQ group "example guide" promotion model, in order to guide the students in informal learning.Part V: The concluding part of this paper. This part mainly summarizes the final conclusion of this paper, as well as put forward the limitations of this article and follow-up studies to be done.
