Nowadays novels occupy a large proportion of the teaching materials about Chinese in junior middle school; meanwhile, those selected ones are totally well-known works. Then novel teaching consequently functions as an important role in Chinese education of junior middle school. First, novel teaching is a medium for helping students to receive the literature and accomplishment education. Secondly, it carries them to experience the moral and sentiment education. Thirdly, it's an effective way for students to build their own knowledge system. While since a long time ago, for novel teaching, there still exits lots of problems among the teachers, students, materials, even the related evaluation and tests. Therefore, in chapter 3 the paper made a deep discussion about the strategies of novel teaching in junior middle school. First, do the preparation something before class. One is to renew the concept of novel teaching, and enhance teachers'literary quality; the other is to refresh the knowledge and concept among the students, and help them increase quantity of reading. Then, do the teaching in class. One is to help students to develop the reading ability while appreciating and analyzing the works; the second way is to cultivate them to catch the key words, phrases and sentences in the reading; the third is to mould their personality to analyzing novels in a special way. Next, do the suggestions after class. One is for editors of the teaching materials; the other is for the evaluation system.
