The state of employment is an important problem to influence the development of secondary vocational school. The thesis takes Tangshan economic and trade school as a study case to carry out the research on its employment problem between the years of 2006 to 2008.To view as a whole in Tangshan economic and trade school from 2006 to 2008, the rate of employment was high and the field of employment was wide. The state of employment seemed to be good, but some deeper problems existed, such as low self-employment-ability of students, little job income, poor job stability, different job opportunities and match rate of job and major in different majors. These problems not only directly affect candidates'choosing wishes, but also influence the future of school.The above-mentioned problems are the results of some influence elements of society, school and students. Social elements include high employment pressure in whole society, the overemphasis on diplomas or degrees in personnel management, rapid development of other level and type of education and some traditional culture; school elements include some problems in majors design, teaching content and staffs, construction of the training bases, job guidance and students'self-accomplishment; students'elements include study bases, achievement motivation and family environment.To solve those deeper employment problems of secondary vocational school, expecting society should perfect personnel mechanism; school should optimize its educational environment, so as to improve the vocational ability and accomplishment of graduates. Specific measures are taken as follows :the first is to build brand major in according to regional economic and social development; the second is to adjust course structure and content; the third is to improve the teaching ability of educators by introduction and teachers'on-the– job training ;the forth is to improve students'operational skills and ability; the fifth is to promote life moral education to nourish students'character; the sixth is to improve the actual effect of job guidance by providing a through guidance since students enrolment.
