Mentally retarded children universally have language disorders, so how to improve mentally retarded children's language ability that has been one of hot topics, which society-adaptation schools and language rehabilitation institutions focused on. With the implementation of "Experimental Scheme of Compulsory Education Curriculum on Society-adaptation Schools" that was published by Chinese Education Minister in 2007, society-adaptation schools began collective language rehabilitation courses.However, the language rehabilitation in social-adaptation schools is at an early stage of development. Society-adaptation schools almost have no language rehabilitation curriculum and books. The study of curriculum development at society-adaptation schools is few from the perspectives of collective language rehabilitation, and the theories that directly related with mentally retarded children language rehabilitation are also few in China at present. The research of language rehabilitation courses on mentally retarded children, which made use full of speech-therapy, language-education and cognition-training, is blank in the home. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to establish language rehabilitation courses that will apply for students in low grades at society-adaptation school. The study has important guiding significance for language rehabilitation teaching at society-adaptation schools and has the important practical significance of language development of mentally retarded children.Based on the comprehensive recovery of medical rehabilitation and education, this paper put forward key points of language rehabilitation training——speaking training combined with speech treatment, non-verbal training combined with augmentative and alternative communication, and language education and cognitive training, and make full use of scientific language education skills in language rehabilitation.With guidance of "Medical rehabilitation and Education combined", with the aim of correct speech defects and language barriers, by the means of speech rehabilitation methods and language education methods, the study developed collectivization language rehabilitation curriculum in a preschool stage and grade one to three at society-adaptation schools. Set up language rehabilitation curriculum goal from the angle of speech, language and cognition. Choose and arrange course content, including pinyin, words and sentences. Design the teaching activities of language rehabilitation. Design "Students' language learning form of evaluation", which can evaluate immediately language ability after language rehabilitation class. Finally, described and analyzed language ability of mentally retarded students before and after language rehabilitation curriculum so as to verify the effectiveness of the course, the result is that the course of language rehabilitation is effectiveness.
