| In 2008, higher vocational college welcomed the first batch of "The generation of 1990s" vocational students, "The generation of 1990s"starts their university period, and they quickly draw attention by whole higher-education experts. Along with the arrival of "the generation of 1990s", higher vocational colleges are ushered in new management challenges. Higher vocational colleges, following the traditional "technology+capacity" education models, "The generation of 1990s",on the contract, do not like this rigid form of education, "schools do not understand our needs." The problem arising due to higher vocational institute do not treat "The generation of 1990s"career needs seriously. Even if amount of criticism existence, "The generation of 1990s"has become a social phenomenon, that we cannot be avoided. As one part of this crowd, higher vocational students should be well considered on their characteristics and be better developed on their thinking. Vigorously-developing vocational colleges are following the spiritual center of the connotation of human development; object education is the center of these efforts and support points."All education is career education". In essence, career education that helps people developing self-awareness capacity for a better life is not only contains knowledge and skills teaching. Vocational education is now a kind of lack of humanism, in other words, is a way of education splitting the career education apart. Precisely, lacking human-culture in education brings lacking the core spirit of higher vocational colleges. In short, education is difficult to attract students if lacking cultural content.By using reflection form, this study questions the current career education following by higher vocational institutes, investigates and analyses contradictory reasons in demand and supply in teaching process, provides the point source for re-thinking and further development in career education. The ultimate purpose of this paper is to promote higher vocational institute education system set, in the form of full humanistic spirit. This is not just to meet the "The generation of 1990s" career education needs, but for human culture construction and long-term content development in higher education.This paper is divided into four parts, starting from the phenomenon that higher vocational institute enter the generation of "the 1990s".After collecting and analyzing the relevant references, I integrated out the conflict that "the generation of 90s" have higher career consciousness level and career education in higher vocational institute are less than that of the needs, leads to the lack of the immanence spirit of humanistic in higher vocational education. By using the survey of "the generation of 1990s"vocational student current career needs, I find out the entry point that can lead to the education model which vocational student really wants. Prior to this process, I located the "the generation of 1990s" into "the group born after 1987", and "career education needs" into "learning needs, access to life needs and self-development needs" by doing research archives survey."The generation of 1990s" students, presidents and counselor in five vocational institutes were surveyed by questionnaire and interviews in this research. After doing thoroughly analysis and reflection, I made the summing-up that the career development characteristics of "the generation of 1990s", they are:the coexistence of individual and dependence, the symbiosis of strong sociality and infant-type; and reckoned the reason that weakens vocational education:lacking of career education culture. The specific reasons are:1.higher vocational institute under a dehumanized environment for human grows; 2.higher vocational education development is in the state of lacking cultivating culture. Final conclusion:in market economy, the vocational education ideology is expected for a change.To solve the above problem, the article on how to make better career education in higher vocational institute gives a constructive reflection. The paper presents three approaches that help improving human environment in higher vocational institute, they are:Training environment construction based on the life caring ideology; Student guide of psychology as the core in vocational education; finally, Make "Career Education" curriculum framework, which form a systematic career-oriented curriculum.The purpose of this study is to establish a systematic education form that meet the need both of "the generation of 1990s"nowadays and the future development needs of higher vocational education institute. Due to technical problems, the students feature of "the generation of 1990s" in the investigation are not manifested obvious, but as a new social group, some of their psychological thoughts will impose impact on higher vocational education, and that impact will growing significantly, while problems mentioned in the text and the ideas of career education construction and development indeed requires careful consideration. Therefore, another purpose of this paper is to promote thinking of and make use of the people-oriented, as well as thinking of the times idea, through the construction procedure, and finally to build a complete vocational education culture. |
