To implement personalized, intelligent, adaptive Network Education is currently a hot field of educational research, in this case, Adaptive Learning comes into being. In the adaptive learning system, testing and evaluation are important links because there are the bases of the system to understand the learners'academic progress, accordingly, to provide personalized and adaptive teaching.This paper studies problems of testing and evaluation in traditional online education, then analyzes the knowledge-level systems and teaching aims of the subject involved in test. Based on the actual needs of adaptive online education and the guidance of the personalized learning theory and adaptive learning theory, the author designs an adaptive testing guidance system, focusing on how to build the knowledge base of the subject, test pumping problems and fuzzy evaluation method, as well as guided strategy for learning.The system has established a knowledge base which organizes learning resources according to the knowledge structure and system of the subject by the smallest-unit called knowledge-point. Based on this, this system can hazily appraise the students'levels of knowledge and cognition through testing whose difficulty can be adaptive. In addition, it also uses learning styles inventory test to evaluate learners'learning styles.Based on comprehensive evaluation of the learners, the system provides personalized, adaptive, pointed feedback and guidance services. In the end, this article integrates the specific sections of Physics to introduce the application of adaptive testing and guidance method.
