Science curriculum from Grade 7 to Grade 9 is a curriculum whose aim is to cultivate students'scientific literacy.Sciense is a curriculum based on experiments,so experiment teaching plays an important role in science teaching. Take advantage of subject characteristics to cultivate scientific literacy through scientific experiment teaching.Curriculum resources is a new concept put forward in a new round of elementary educational curriculum revolution. The scope,level and effectiveness of science teaching depend on the quantity of scientific curriculum resources and the level of the development and utilization of them.The implement of new curriculum needs abundant curriculum resources,so science teaching in junior middle schools based on experiments can not do without experimental curriculum resources. Experimental curriculum resources are of great importance in achieving experiment instructional objectives.The implement of scientific inquiry activities needs kinds of experimental curriculum resources and the primary laboratory resources couldn't satisfy the needs of experiment teaching.Our country is starting to study the development and utilization of experimental curriculum resources.However,items in daily use as curriculum resources haven't paid enough attention in the area of science teaching. Though items in daily use are reflected in teaching materials and their instructional function is also studied, theoretical investigation is deficient. This thesis takes items in daily use as subject investigated and explores the trait and educational value in theory by case study method in order to explain the items in daily use are important curriculum resources which deserve further development. Then the author comes up with the strategy of developing and utilizing curriculum resources in order to raise the operability. Items in daily use are divided into five parts which are kitchen supplies,daily foods,domestic appliance,school tools and sports and recreation articles for the sake of broadening the vision and expanding the ways of developing and utilizing curriculum resources.On this basis,the author practises in inquiring works and designing experimental inquiry exercises.Inquiring works are in the form of scientific experiments, scientific investigation and technological manufacture.During the process of practising we find that superiority really exist but there are also some limitations.So it needs rational development and moderate guidance from teachers and cooperation from the parents.
