| Geography Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education in 2011 put forward these fundamental ideas of curriculum that curriculum system is open and students should be instructed to learn practical knowledge about life and lifelong development.Development and application of local geography curriculum resources are the important embodiment which carries out these fundamental ideas exactly.In addition,curriculum standard also points out that local geography is one of four parts of geography curriculum in junior middle school and required course.There is a wide variety of local geography resources and they all possess these features: regional,epochal,living and practical.Its effective development and full application must be helpful for teachers to optimize the teaching design of class,increase the efficiency of teaching and for students to raise the interest of learning geography,manipulative ability,innovation capability and practical ability.At the same time,it can also bring up their emotion of loving hometown and motherland.Since Lhasa has especial history and geographical location and so on,at present there is a certain gap between the professionalism of junior middle school’s teachers and overall educational level in Lhasa and inland.Therefore,these will have an effect on the development and application of localgeography curriculum resources in Lhasa.This paper is set in the realistic requirements of new geography curriculum reform,student—centered development and geography teaching of compulsory education.Firstly,this essay starts with the research of local geography,expounds its signifecance of developing local geography curriculum resources and theoretical basis,incuding learning theory of constructivism,life education and he study moving theory.Secondly,this article uses the literature research method,questionnaire and quantitative analysis etc to know and analyze the situation and some problems of development and application of local geography curriculum resources in Lhasa,probes into and puts forward some corresponding principles: local,scientific,individually,economic and the requirements which abide by new curriculum standard.At the same time,this paper provides some solving strategies of developing and applying local geography curriculum resources from educational authorities,teachers and functional departments,including the corresponding development system should be constructed;the ranks of geography teachers need to be strengthened continually and then reinforce the consciousness and ability of developing and applying local geography curriculum resources and junior middle schools and geography teachers can create conditions to realize the diversification of ways in developing and applying local geography curriculum resources.Inaddition,this paper takes Lhasa river as an example and designs a teaching case about local geography so as to realize its potential educational value,carry out the ideas of new curriculum standard,supply some teaching materials,certain guidance and reference for offering local geography curriculum and its development and practice in the geography teaching of junior middle school in the future.Morever,the design of practical teaching case is to promote the popularization of local geography teaching in junior middle school. |
