Study On Moral Paradigm Shift In Colleges And Universities

Facing a new situation in the new century, moral education in colleges and universities, which is an important form of ideological and political education, is now demanded to have the spirit of advancing with time by social informatization, economic globalization, diversification of social life, development of knowledge economy and active unprecedentedly moral theory research etc.Since the reform and opening up, moral education in colleges and universities has made great achievements whether in theory or in practice, to which the party and government has attached great importance and the moral educators have made unremitting efforts. However, when compared with the economic and social development, especially with the increasingly diversified and complicated environment, it has a long way to go. The traditional education mode and mechanism gradually produce many parts such as politicised content of moral education, being alienated from real life, force-feeding education and so on, which don't adapt to the social development as well as man's all-round development, and make moral education empty, mechanical and dull. Aiming at the defects and drawbacks, this dissertation takes the paradigm theory as a starting point to explain the development of moral education in colleges and universities from the perspective of paradigm shift. The first chapter gives the explanation to the basic concepts of moral paradigm shift in colleges and universities. The second chapter discusses the main causes of moral paradigm shift in colleges and universities. The third chapter analyzes the real possibility of moral paradigm shift in colleges and universities. The fourth chapter prospects a scientific and feasible moral paradigm in colleges and universities and finally explores an operable way to realize the shift.Thus, we come to the following conclusion: With the current social development, it is necessary, obligatory and definitely possible for us to explore a scientific and people-oriented way to achieve the moral paradigm shift in colleges and universities from the traditional.
