The Empirical Research Of Citizenship Status Of Undergraduates In Northeastern University

The undergraduate is one of the social groups whose knowledge level are higher, their citizenship would affect the quality of overall people, so we must put attention to the undergraduates'citizenship. However, due to the impact from culture factors, economic factors, political factors and undergraduates themself factors, the overall level of the undergraduate's citizenship isn't high.The paper uses a method which the quantitative analysis of sociology and the qualitative analysis of political are combinated. Taking the data which are collected by surverying as the studying basis, we objectively and truly reflect the undergranduates'citizenship status of Northeastern University. Based on actual survery data analysis, the awareness of main body, participation and law are in the middle level, that is not positive, not negative, the awareness of rights is at the middle on the side, while the awareness of obligation is stronger. The girls' citizenship are higher than the boys', the low-grade students'citizenship are higher than the high-grade students', and there are significant differences because of profession. Finally we draw the conclution that the undergraduates'citizenship of Northeastern University are in the middle level. According to the data analysis result and the actual situation of the Northeastern University undergraduates'citizenship, we deeply analyze the effection that moral cultual factors, economic factors, political legal factors, school education system and undergraduates themselves factors have given to the Northeastern University undergraduates'citizenship. So we put forward some effective measures that takes the economic development as base, the rule of law as protection, the democracy as oriention, the social advocacy and university education as main channel, as well as encouraging undergraduates to partivipate in social activities as supplemantary. These measures are put forward so as to solute some problems on Northeastern University undergraduates'citizenship, and provide some useful reference to Chinese undergraduates'citizenship education.
