The 21st century has entered an internet age. People are getting more and more willingly used to obtaining more information, concerned with the great events and giving their feedback and opinions through internet. The public sentiment results from the intense reactions and opinions about the specific event and its effect in a unique social condition. Therefore, the internet public sentiment has become an inevitable social phenomenon and the management of it has become more urgent.The university, a place filled with young intellectuals, has adequate subjective and objective conditions to gain access to the public sentiment and public events through internet. The uniqueness of well educated young students makes them the major and indispensable components of the internet public sentiment. As a result, it is particularly important to supervise the university public sentiment.By conducting questionnaire, literature research, comparative research, especially the analysis of major factors of internet public sentiment , public sentiment management and the survey of the current university internet public sentiment situation, this thesis makes an analysis of the pattern of the management of university internet public sentiment and provides four strategies in terms of clarifying concepts, strengthening systems construction, enriching the management team and creating a better external environment.
