Influence And Countermeasures -- An Analysis Of 30 Years` Morality Evolution In College

Since the late 1970s,China's reform and opening policy has caused fast transformation in all fields of the country. The market economy has changed the pattern of interests and socail relations in China. With the transformation from mechanical solidarity to organic solidarity , politics is no longer the center of the society and socialist-dominant culture begin to coexist with many kinds of subculture. Mass media develop rapidly and make the moral transformation possible.From planned-economy moral standards to market-economy moral standards; from politics-orientated morality to life-orientated morality; from ideal-typed morality to practice-typed morality, subjective personalities have been awakened and individual interests have returned to the moral field. However, because of the effection of the culture lag, demoralization has occurred at the same time.College students growing up in contemporary era face the moral transformation directly. In macro-environment both positive and negative factors affect them from many different aspects.They represent the principal spirit of our time but at the same time they are also egocentric and utilitarian,some even demoralizeing.So the moral education in colleges should focus on the students' moral capacity.The education should follow the law of college students' physical and mental development.It should also arouse the students'need of morality and foster the growth of their moral immunity.
