Enlightenment Of Confucian Noble Character On The Formation Of Moral Personality Of College Students

One of the personality changes in quality,improving the personality of college students,is absolutely finished when they enter the society from the campus.The formation of noble moral personality is conducive to perfect individual personality and to handle the later interpersonal relations.As the future chief cornerstone of our nation,one with a noble personality will have a profound influence on the production of a healthy public environment of the future society.For example,long-standing Confucian culture has been making a constant difference towards generation after generation by means of such moralities as benevolence,wisdom,courage and etiquette music,etc.Nobel values pursued by the ancient Confucian intellectuals are exactly corresponding to the college students.Confronted with impacts of present marketing economics for the purpose of utility and trends towards profits,students have nothing to do but remain immune by demanding themselves as a man of noble character and pursuing continually higher personality.Due to a series of disgusting behaviors existing among college students,this paper made a discussion following the fundamental viewpoint of personality in traditional Confucian thoughts in combination with the condition of moral personality of present undergraduates and their problems within.What to discuss should be based on the personality goal of noble character pursued by Confucian intellectuals in view of what and how to shape moral personality of college students.For the content,it is reference for noble moral personality revered by the scholar class with similar background;for the nature of morality,values and norms of behavior,it helps to raise the moral awareness of college students.The emotional output based on the nature of morality is an effective guidance of them towards right moral emotion and reinforced moral faith;finally,it will lead college students to a social group whose moral behaviors are acted as models.Lastly,this paper proposes that the formation of noble moral personality of college students can be realized through the self-examination,searching for problems and the corresponding methods of inspection in their own practice,etc.
