The early 21st century, as the development of social politics,economic and culture, the demand for high-quality personnel is still growing. As the main force of high-quality personnel, College students stand to attention.Otaku college students is increasingly during these years, it's a new subject to the work of ideological and political education and mental health and education.How to understand this new group of people? Why did they choose to give up traditional life and joined the Otakus in the golden period of life? What kind of live they are living? What's the impact for their own, and for the community? As a university educator and administrator, all these questions must be resolved.In order to find the answer, there is an investigation for Otakus. First, on the basis of the literature on their predecessors, with the combination of Otakus'real life,defined college Otakus and prepared a questionnaire of Otakus'life characteristics.Secondly, use questionnaires to study on the characteristics of life (including the basic characteristics,life characteristics of the network) and psychological characteristics (including personality, time management disposition and mental health, etc.).The results showed:1, Otaku students is everywhere,and the poorer self-evaluation of the students,the higher proportion they will choose the Otaku lives; and compared to normal students ,Otakus spend 800 yuan a month , at a low level.2, In the different types of Otaku students , the leisure entertainment is at the top, followed by the type and interests to net a living model, once again is doing nothing and loving home-based model; but Otakus compared to noraml students more dependent on the network.3, Compare with normal students,Otakus prefer to not-going out or non- face to face manner on the way of major study sites , information collecting, interpersonal communication, entertainment, dining, shopping, access information and access job information.4, The primary purpose of college Otaku students to get on the Internet is to see animation / movie / download music; compare with normal students,Otaku students'online entertainment is strong, learning weak. 5, College Otaku students are more often communicate on internet , QQ, MSN is the primary way of communication, and the information on internet of Otaku students are basicly reality.6, College Otaku students occasionally or never shopping online, books are the first choice. Stay at home and saving time are the most primary reason for online shopping, but compared with normal students, Otaku students are more likely to choose online shopping because of inertia.7, Otaku is just a hobby, but a way of life has nothing to do with others; do not love going out is the primary feature of Otaku students; inert psychological, bother out is the Otaku students formed the primary psychological reasons; computers popular with convenient network usage, enough leisure time is the main objective reasons of Otaku students; on the network and computers sub-culture of psychological dependence, and interpersonal ability to reduce communication, irregular work and rest, life is a mess, these are the major hazards of Otaku life styles; to enjoy quiet time alone, relax the spirit, is the positive impact of Otakus.8, compare with Otaku students,normal students are more inclined to believe that Otaku is unhealthy, so that students will lose energy and motivation; Otaku students group assessment of psychological and behavioral characteristics of a more passive; more emphasis on escape from the pressure of reality, in the virtual world in search of self-identity and social identity, unwilling or offensive work / school, fashion, conformity of these psychological factors in the Otaku students and the formation process; more emphasis on family education, liberal and less than those in school management objective reasons in the Otakus and production in a negative role; further emphasizes that Otakus livelihood caused by the following negative effects, network, computers and other sub-culture of psychological dependence, reducing interpersonal skills, character becomes closed inward, not conducive to physical and mental health.9,There are significantly different between the personality of Otakus and national norm;the personality characteristics of Otakus of gender, grade, professional, urban and rural areas, whether the only child in family ,there are significant differences; there are significant differences between normal students and Otakus. 10 There are significant differences in gender, profession of the Time Management; there are significant differences between normal students and Otakus.11, Compared with the national norm, the mental health of Otaku students are at a low level; the mental health of Otaku students is significant difference between different gender, grade ,urban and rural areas; Compare with normal students,the level of mental health of Otakus is much lower.12,The personality characteristics and mental health conditions of college Otaku students were significantly related ,Otaku students are more easily agitated, anxious, more introverted, shy, prudent, cautious, and more easily disturbed by emotional distress, frustration easily discouraged, the psychological health are poorer; Time Management Disposition and mental health of Otaku students was significantly related , the poorer of the concept of time and time efficacy monitoring,the worse their mental health are.Finally,based on these results, from guiding Otaku students out from this kind of life by themseleves,and guide the community, schools and parents to adopt effective measures to guide the Otaku students to get out of this kind of lives.
