The 23rd China Internet Development Statistics Report pointed out that primary and secondary students take extra courses through the Internet in addition to tradition learning in schools, which is one area of important application of Internet, and the percentage of online education have risen to 16.2% in primary and secondary groups currently. As a new and interesting way of online education, the game-based learning community for primary pupils which blend learning and entertainment into a whole is beening accepted by schools, parents and primary pupils gradually.Taking a wide view of the current popular game-based learning communities for primary pupils on the network, it has been working to seek a balance between learning and game, but pay little attention to the development and training of learners'emotion in the process of game-based learning. Review of research on emotion and status qro research on the current emotional education in schools and families, this study holds that the emotional development takes a very important role in human development and it is an essential part of the comprehensive development of human. However, the schools and families don't make good use of their effectiveness as an important place for emotional education to develop and foster the emotion of primary pupils. Taking into account the fact that the primary school period is the golden age to shape and develop emotion, and also the increasing frequency that primary pupils make use of the game-based learning community to learn and entertain, it is necessary for the game-based learning community to strengthen emotion and its development of learners, which is expected to make up for the lack of emotional education of schools, families and online education.This study bases the emotional design in the game-based learning community of primary pupils on the above facts, and focus on the following four points to do research: First, the literature research. By a large number of books reading and information organization, which is related to the emotion, the characteristics of emotional development of primary pupils, game design, emotional design and so on, this study points out the inadequacy of emotional design in the game-based learning community of primary pupils, and summarizes characteristics of emotional development of primary pupils, which includes intuitiveness, plentifulness, dependence, unsteadiness and so on, then finds the close association among some well-known theories and the emotional design of the game-based learning community, like the Psychology of Emotional Teaching of Lu Jia-mei, the Three Levels of Emotional Design of Norman, and Hierarchy of Needs of Maslow and so on. All of these researches are the cornerstone of later studies.Second, factor analysis. This study concludes four essential elements of game which has the the closest relationship with the emotion:plot, scene, role, props and symbols, combined with the characteristics of emotional development of primary pupils. It analyses the emotional factors of the four essential elements in the game-based learning community of primary pupils in detail. Then, it takes Wu Long College which is a more successful case in China, as an example to analyze emotional factors according to the four essential elements, and sums up the advantages and disadvantages of emotional design.Third, strategy proposal. Based on the advantages and disadvantages summed up in the case analysis, this study proposes thirteen major strategies on the emotional design of plot, scene, role, props and symbols in the game-based learning community of primary pupils, combined with the advantages in the emotional design of online games. The plot emotional design involves the beginning, obstacles, climax and ending, the scene emotional design involves the style, layout and transition, and the role emotional design involves the background, shape, character and action in the thirteen major strategies.Four, the community design. To further validate the usage of the thirteen major strategies, this study designs a game-based learning community to develop and foster emotion of primary pupils, called "Mushroom Wizard City", which creates a pleasure emotion nurturing environment for learners, who can perceive simple emotion such as pleasure, anger, sorrow, joy at the beginning and can understand and internalize advanced emotion such as moral sense, aesthetic sense and rational sense at the end of the process of learning and usage of the necessary knowledge of daily life to finish tasks in the Mushroom Wizard City, in order to nurture and foster learners'emotion when they master the necessary knowledge of daily life.
