The research on the Hidden Curricu1um has existed for almost fifty years in the west while the case ,studied at the beginning of 1980s,has been experienced for nearly thirty years. It is extremely significant to study it deeply and systematically both in theory and in practice at the very important moment under the new curriculum reformed project.The essay on the basis of the great achievment which the pioneers have taken pains for is done by dealing with the documents subtlely under the guidence of the theory of Marxist with the ways of analysis, synthesis, comprarision, induction with deduction etc.and at the very beginning of the concept,together with the analysis and comparision in fullest aspects to emphases on the starting point of the conception of the Hidden Curriculum, of the differences in the degree of the significance, the functional influnence. The generalization that exists in the meaning of the research,in the way of management and in the roads of management is rooted on the diversities in history,culture and system between China and the Wests,fuethermore,in the characteristics of the Hidden Curricu1um itself.Only comparision can we find out the lag,because the Wests have taken advantages over China in the study of the Hidden Curricu1um and they have more successful experience,which brings in much enlightment to the reform and development in moral education in the universities in China,that is, the Moral Education is gradually converting from the formal curricu1um to the Hidden Curricu1um. The Moral Education is conhesive to the daily behavior of terchers. The scietific and progresive curriculum designed and the encouraging school phenomenia are reconstructed in such multiple—dimension in order to get students to accept the moral education in the class without teachers or in the phenonenon of imbueing.
