Studies on women in politics have ever been conducted at home and abroad at all times, which mostly focus on the national level, emphasizing the women political rights and the sex ratio in government decision-making, emphasizing the quota. According to the theoretical framework of women's studies and based on the analysis of political anthropology, this dissertation picks the selected female village heads who have won a third term of office as the main study subject in Zhadian villages, Jijie town, Gejiu city, Yunan province. Under the complex political, economic and cultural situations in the village, and the potential impact of domestic and international women's movement, to discuss what is'women in politics'in the lowest grassroots and how they practice'women governance'in the administration of the village, unfolding a political picture in this way how rural women enter the village committee which is'male-centered'both in the past and at present, how they make use of it as a platform or base to perform their duties and exercise the political power for the people, for the village, for self-responsibility and political achievement on the trial of the village self-government which services as an important political reform in China.From the unique perspective of the practice of China's rural grassroots democracy reform, this dissertation try to take the village committee as the research field which lies at the bottom of China's social and political structure, but in which there's the most complex right and interest relationship, to question previous research and make a breakthrough in perfecting the often-discussed connotation of women's political participation, to form the analysis of pluralistic social gender. Based on the impact of village political, social and cultural relations, to discuss and explore the related elements of women's political participation.
