The basketball game was created by American James Smith, which has already been one of the most universal and most favorite sports items in the world. American basketball game has shone mostly in the one hundred years'development, especially NBA, which has drawn attention of the world and has had hundreds of millions of audiences and basketball fans. Compared with NBA, although Chinese professional basketball started later since basketball game was introduced to China in 1895 and the weaknesses in management and tactics are apparent, there are two training systems in our country, the Youth Team and the High Colleges'Basketball Team. Nowadays, young men basketball dual meet of"Li-Ning Cup", as an exploration and a characteristic in the development of Chinese basketball, has already caused increasing concerns.CBA-CUBA is host by Chinese Basketball Association and Chinese Universities Basketball Association. So far, it has been held successfully four times, which accumulated valuable experiences for later development and will make young men basketball develop further, and will strengthen the training of reserved basketball talents.Resorting to the methods of literature consultation, observation, questionnaire, consultation with experts, statistics and logical analysis, taking the four times CBA-CUBA young men basketball dual meet as study object, by means of analyzing the present situation of them, the existing problems were found and some suggestions were given in this thesis to offer some useful advices and promote our country's youth basketball games to develop more quickly. Hopefully, it can offer some references for the training of China male basketball reserved talents. The results showed that:1. The comparative analysis of the results of competitions and the technical statistics reveals that the overall level of CUBA is a little higher than CBA youth teams.2. In terms of age, height and weight, CBA youth team has a huge developing space.3. In attack and defense, CUBA university teams are better than CBA youth team in the shooting percentage of basketball and the ways of obtaining scores. CBA youth team doesn't show their height and age advantages over rebounds, block shots and steal. This demonstrates their compression to rivals is not enough. Therefore, the training of defensive skills should be strengthened.4. Concerning coaches, the educational backgrounds of the coaches in CUBA teams are reasonable, whereas most of CBA's coaches are retired athletes, who teach immediately after retirement, with lower-level education. Compared with them, most of CUBA coaches haven't received high-level basketball technical training.5. The means of exchange between CUBA and CBA should continue to be expanded and the development scale of dual meet should be broadened in order that more teams will attend such competitions, which will be benefit for training teams, recruiting new players, strengthening their contacts and exchanges, and enlarging influences.
