Present College Students' Civic Awareness Cultivation Under The Network View

In recent years, with the rapid development of network technology, the world gradually entered a new Internet age ---the information society. Report to the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to strengthen civic education, and foster the ideas of socialist democracy and rule of law, freedom and equality, fairness and justice, which fully demonstrates that civic awareness is a fundamental and strategic element. The historical mission and international and domestic situation decide that it is necessary and urgent for the contemporary college students to receive civic education. At the same time, college students as a key component of Internet users participate in all activities with high enthusiasm and have strong desires to express the ideas, so it provides the possibility to take network as a carrier to enhance civic awareness, inspire the political consciousness of citizens, and nurture the quality of citizens of college students. This paper tries to take the network as the carrier to explore the effective way to foster civic awareness of the college students.The paper points out the specialty for training the college students'awareness, It also analyses the feasibility of the implementation of civic awareness education on college students under the network environment, and carries out the analysis of the current situation of civic awareness and the existing problems and causes of civic awareness for college students with the network as a carrier. It presents the thinking and countermeasures for the college civic education under the condition of the network. To implement the idea of civic awareness training with network as a carrier, we should remember three combinations:uphold the combination of the advance of theory and the times of practice; keep on the combination of solving ideological problems with solving practical problems; adhere to the combination of inheriting the fine tradition and innovation. The countermeasures which implement the civic awareness training with the network as a carrier are:strengthening networking, building green network space, improving the educational process of the network in order to achieve systemic education for the implementation of civic education with network as a carrier, increasing network awareness of protection to build network security monitoring system, and optimizing social and campus environment for students healthy and harmonious development of civic awareness.I sincerely hope that college education managers and researchers pay more attention to campus network construction through this research. Moreover, making campus network plays a greater role civic education of college students. College students will be able to take the campus network as a new platform to train civic awareness, constantly improve the quality of citizens, and gradually increase the consciousness of participation in public affairs and the capacity of dealing with social and public affairs.
