A Research Of Current College Students' Civic Awareness Education Under The International Background

In the past,high education in China is a kind of"the salt of the earth"education, college students were regarded as the most excellent persons in the society.In comparison with the peers,they had many advantages,it seemed that they were not common citizens any more.But with the development of marketing economy and reform, enlarged number of college students,high education has shifted from talented education to common education.On the other hand,most of the college students could not realize such change,even could not step out of such condition as considering themselves as"the salt of the earth",and then could not keep balance in spirit.Under such condition,it is quite necessary to offer them civic awareness education.College is the cradle for the growth of the younsters,college time is the key point to make them socialization,if college students could not form the correct civic awareness during college time,it is quite impossible to make them become qualified citizens,not to say model citizens.It is the main content of high education to make the qualified citizens out of the college students.The research of civic awareness and civic awareness education originated from the foundation of social marketing economy,and it really has a long way to go.How to cultivate the civic awareness, particularly college students civic awareness is a very important subject.This essay mainly makes a survey and analysis of college students civic awareness education conditions in America, British, France and Singapore, and explores the ways and approaches of college students civic awareness education.This essay contains three parts,introduction, main body and conclusion.
