A Study On The Marriage Quality Of Urban And Rural Residents And Its Influencing Factors

Based on the absorption and reference about marriage quality on the basis of existing research results at home and abroad,we utilize descriptive analysis and corss analysis to know more about marriage quality.And we discuss about this from three perspectives,they are individualcharacteristics,couple relationship and family circumstances.What’s more,we also use the orderly classification Logistic Model to test empirically the factors influencing the quality of marriage. To give some reference to improve the quality of people’s marriage. The conclusions of the research are as follow :(1) People are satisfied of their marriage quality.(2)I do not find any individual characteristics(gender, age, occupation)has significant impact on the quality of marriage.(3) The sexual life, living habits and attitude towards the wife/husband,whether the lover has always encourages each other and helpes another one do some important things, these are all important to improve the quality of people’s marriage.(4) The family circumstances, family income are not significantly associated with the marital quality, but healthy of family members and getting along with the neighbors have significant impact on the quality of marriage. The better relations with neighbors, their marital satisfaction is also higher.(5) From the contrast between the city and the town,we can see that,the factors which affect the quality of their marriage are not the same. But sex life, lover’s attitude to their partner,whather the lover often encourages or helps each other,these are all important to marital quality of the citizens and township residents.
