A growing number of innovative theories have matured since all countries pay more attention to the educational innovation. The academic circles are studying a good way of cultivating student's creative thinking. At present, a number of new models for cultivating student's creative thinking have matured and have been successfully applied in practice.Information technology is changing the production style, life style and learning style of human society. Network Course is a new approach to learning, providing people with a convenient, fast way of learning and rich e-learning resources. The success of network course depends on teaching materials they rely on, excellent instruction courseware, diversity communication means, as well as excellent learning auxiliary aids.A Web-based creative thinking network course for primary students based on the international popular three major educational theories is developed to try to cultivate creative thinking ability of primary students according to the current status of cultivating creative thinking.The first part of the present study analyzes the status and problems on cultivating creative thinking at home and abroad, and introduces the relevant basic theories. Then it introduces the research purpose, the research content, the research methods and the organization of this thesis.The second part of the present study analyzes three major theories, which are Piagetian theory of cognitive development stages, Vygotsky theory of social and cultural development, and Lin Chongde theory of cultivating thinking.The third part of the present study specifies the creative thinking network course design and functional implementation. At first, this part introduces the paper material into creative thinking network course, which is"Learning thinking activity curriculum". Based on these teaching materials, this part analyzes the several major functions that creative thinking network course achieves and the principles to which designing creative thinking network course should obey. Then, it is introduced, which is the overall functional modules and interface design on creative thinking network course. At last, the present study shows how to perform the several major functions in using Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other popular applications software.The fourth part of the present study describes the teaching experimental study of creative thinking network course. The present thesis regards two classes as experimental objects, which are the fourth-grade in Shanxi Normal University Experimental Elementary School. One is treated as a contrastive class, and the other one is treated as an experimental class. The students of the contrastive class use the"Learning thinking activity curriculum"and the students of the experimental class use creative thinking network course. The research shows that the creative thinking network course can help students improve their creative thinking ability by contrasting the results between the pre test and the post test.The last part of the present study summarizes research results. Major findings and limitations of this thesis are presents, and suggestions for the future researches are put forward.
