In the information age of today, with the continuous social progress and development, increasing demand of mathematics, mathematics has developed into an independent force on the natural sciences and natural sciences and social sciences who keep pace with science, mathematics, the application of the value of an unprecedented embodiment. Mathematics, Applied Mathematics literacy awareness as an important part of more and more attention. Under such an environment requires people to have more mathematical knowledge, learn more mathematical language, mathematics, technology, requires people to be able to use mathematical thinking and problem solvng approach to mathematics and real-life organic together.However, we can see from the reality:many were not engaged in related work closely with the math people do not know what is the use math, let alone the use of mathematics in life. Therefore, how to develop and cultivate the students awareness of the mathematical applications, has become an important issue in primary and secondary mathematics education reform.For a long time, since the evaluation, curriculum, teaching, and other factors, our sense of math education in the application of serious deficiencies. The new mathematics curriculum standards have been applied to develop students awareness of mathematics as an important teaching goal, put forward a systematic and clear requirements. Enable students to find in real life applications of mathematics using mathematics to solve practical problems. How to implement this objective of effective classroom instruction in mathematics, has become mathematics educators should be further serious consideration and study.In this paper, some middle school students and teachers conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews, combined with the author area school mathematics teaching practice, applied mathematics students to explore the causes of poor awareness of how to improve the awareness and application of secondary school students in mathematics application ability were studied.
