As we know,social requirement for mathematics changes rapidly nearly every day.Meanwhile,mathematical education needs application consciousness worse than before.But unfortunately,many students are weak at application consciousness so that the application topics can not be answered easily.As far as this problem is concerned,this paper will mainly discuss the teaching of application topics from the aspect of application consciousness training.And two focuses should be highlighted:one is to improve the relative present condition,the other is to enhance students' application consciousness.According to the investigation,namely through questionnaire,quiz and interview,of the current application topics teaching of the middle school as well as the state of the students' application consciousness,it has been testified that students are not good at the ownership of application consciousness and the solution of the application topics.Referring to the application consciousness,the limitation of mathematics horizon is a common problem.The content of the practical questions the students meet is out of the day.And the real life they experience is too superficial to be full of depth and magnitude.And for application topics solution,students master quite well about the regular topics appeared repeatedly,but when the content extended or the knowledge deepened,it will become a big problem for many students.The reason for this situation is complicated,not only concerned with students,but also teachers and the teaching materials. Therefore,it is very necessary to adjust the teaching aim of application topics.Here,the author would like to propose three basical requirements on the basis of investigation. First,application topics teaching should base on the reality. Second,application topics teaching should stress on principle and thoughts.Third,application topics teaching should pay attention to the choosing of topics.At the same time,five effective teaching tactics should be carried out during the teaching experience.They are:breaking though the surface of the problem,conversing from the evaluation of the object to the subject,finding the faults on one's own hands,asking different solution about a question and letting the students learn how to explain the topics.The last part is the experiment of application topics teaching which bases on the training of application consciousness and the wholesome teaching tactics the author designed.The experiment will be carried out in one school term.This research has testified that mathematics application should been paid much attention in the middle school teaching process.The application topics teaching can be improved effectively when the proper teaching tactics has been used, the active teaching with the situation of mathematics application has been designed and the application topic has been mingled into every step.So can be the enhancement of the students' mathematics application consciousness.
