Along with the improving of modern life, more and more people are concerned about their health, and the accompanying problem is how the patient communicate with the doctors and nurses. The author believes that communication between doctors and patients now is turning into a special segment of social culture. This dissertation deals with the study about the phenomenon of compliance and declination in communication between doctors and patients from the perspective of interpersonal communication. First, the thesis analyses the role of the two sides and the path of this kind of communication; Second, it anatomies the main factors why patients comply with doctors, such as professional authority, correct method, and environmental predominance; And the third, it also discusses the significant factors why patients decline advice from doctors, such as motivated misapprehension, sex difference, cultural difference, patient role conflict, managerial motivation, and unfair social exchange, by elaborating roles and approaches in the communication between doctors and patients .
