Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of 45 malignant tumor patients who had been treated by Argon-helium cryoablation, including the changes in tumor size, cancerous pain, quality of life, complications. Summarize the advantages and disadvantages of Argon-helium cryoablation in order to give some help to the clinical application of Argon-helium cryoablation in the future. Methods:Using retrospective research method,we select 43 malignant tumor patients with 45 cases of Argon-helium cryoablations in Department of Internal Medicine-Oncology of integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in China-Japan Friendship Hospital during 2013.11 to 2016.1. Analyze the changes in solid tumor size, cancerous pain, quality of life and summarize the complications related with Argon-helium cryoablation.Result:1.Curative effect evaluation of solid tumor: There are 44 lesions in 45 cases of Argon-helium cryoablation. The minimum diameter of tumor is 1.3 cm, the maximal diameter is 9.0 cm. Because of 12 patients who are normative or close to cryoablation, and there is 1 patient who had been treated by two cases of cryoablation on the same lesion, we analyze the changes in tumor size in 32 patients. Compared the image result whose time are most approaching to the cryoablation to the image result recently. The time of patients’ reexamination, the longest is 684 days, the shortest is 19 days. According to RECIST1.1, the improvement rate (CR+PR) is 18.8%, the effective rate (CR+PR+SD) is 84.4%.2.Cancerous painEvaluate 13 patients who had cancerous pain caused by target lesions with NRS. There were 5 patients of mild pain,3 patients of medium pain,5 patients of severe pain. According to WHO analgesia evaluation criteria, the effective rate of analgesia (CR+PR) was 92.3% in 1 week.3. Performance statusAccording to ECOG-PS, evaluate physical condition of patients before cryoablation. The patient with 0 point,1 point,2 point,3 point and 4 point was 1,31,13,0,0. There were 7 cases (15.6%) quality of life improved,3 cases (6.7%) quality of life decreased, no significant changes in 35 patients (77.8%) in1 week.4. ComplicationsComplications related to cryoablation had occurred in 29 patients. The overall incidence rate of complications was 64.4%.There were intraoperative and postoperative wound pain in 15 cases(33.3%), vomiting in 3 cases (6.7%), postoperative fever 2 cases (4.4%). There were 6 cases of pneumothorax(18.8%) and 5 cases of hemoptysis (15.6%) in 32 cases of lung tumor, There were 4 cases of liver dysfunction(44.4%) in 9 cases of liver tumor. No infection, severe bleeding, shock, death had occurred in cryoablation.Conclusion1. Cryotherapy is significantly effective as a new therapy method. Combined with other oncotherapy methods, it can release patients’suffering and improve quality of life.2. Cryotherapy is widely available in many kinds of tumor and people. It is obvious that patients recover after Argon-helium cryoablation quickly without trauma. Cryotherapy should be introduced and spread in clinical practice.
